Lyudmil Tonchev

Lyudmil Tonchev finished his Master's degree in Molecular Biology at the Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" in Bulgaria. He is currently a PhD student and Laboratory Manager at CPSBB in the department of Molecular Stress Physiology. His PhD research is related to Haberlea rhodopensis gene functional analysis.

During his secondment in Bioatlantis Ltd. he is engaged in testing and conducting research on two seaweed-based biostimulants - Microgrowtm and Agriprime Stimulus, on plants in controlled conditions as well as in the field. He will participate in experiments testing the priming effect of these biostimulants in lettuce, tomato, sugar beet and grass.
